Biography

Lynn Sanders is a career public servant whose work has focused on advancing equitable opportunities and resources for low-income and BIPOC communities, through asset development, education, small business support, and community, youth and workforce development. She started her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA and has worked for a variety of non-profit and government agencies, most recently as the Director of Economic Development for Codman Square NDC, and previously serving the Boston Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, Just-A-Start Corporation, and Boston Public Schools. Lynn has extensive experience developing and leading innovative programs including research, grant writing, program design, outreach, and partnership management. She is an enthusiastic Dorchester resident and neighborhood advocate, a long-time IRS-VITA certified tax preparer, and sits on the Steering Committee for Dorchester Growing Together. Lynn has a BA in Critical Social Thought from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Public Policy from the Heller School for Social Policy at Brandeis University.
